Yolanda Sequica Tanner was born to Homer C. Thigpen and Callie Mae Tanner on November 10, 1972.

She attended Cleveland Public Schools over the course of her childhood well through her teenage years. After graduating from Eastside High School, she went on to attend Coahoma Community College, where she earned her Associates degree in Computer Programming. Yolanda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years and loved her career dearly. Yolanda enjoyed a life filled with love as her closest family was always by her side.

On September 7, 2021, she departed from this life in Cleveland, Mississippi in the comfort of her hoe from a long hard fight with cancer.

Yolanda leaves cherish her memories: her parents Bobby & Callie Barnes; her children: Jeremy Tanner, Damien Tanner, and Darrien Young; Siblings: Bobby & Latoya Barnes all of Cleveland, MS, Shunetria Fairs of Memphis, TN, Rashon Fairs of Dallas, TX, Candice Thigpen and Moneice Thigpen of LOS Angela, CA, and special friend: Willie Beamon of Renova, MS.
