Yolanda Cheryl Jordan was born on May 21, 1968 In Greenville, MS, and unfortunately her life was taken away on September 9, 2015. She was born to the late Annie Mae Jordan and J.T. McCray of New Jersey. Yolanda was raised by her late Grandmother Bertha Jordan, better known as "Mama Dear" and grew up on Edison Street in Greenville.
Yolanda attended the Greenville Public Schools and during this time she enjoyed being a part of the band where she played the Clarinet. She graduated from the T.L. Weston High School in 1986, and from there she attended York College in New York. Yolanda obtained her degree license in LPN at Mississippi Delta Community College, Moorhead, MS in 1989. She filled her love of nursing by working at the Delta Regional Medical Center, Belzoni Hospital, Arnold Avenue Nursing Home, Greenville Convalescent Home, Legacy Manor, Bolivar County Medical Center, Humphrey's County Hospital, Lake Village Nursing Home, and Prime Care. At the time of her death, she was working at Prime Care of Greenville, MS.
