With deepest sorrow, we announce that Xavier De'Juan "Tankey" Williams, born September 24, 1985, passed away peacefully on August 05, 2020 at the Sunflower County Hospital.
Those who knew De'Juan, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. His favorite song was "Order My Steps". He attended school at an early age, thankful to Mrs. Thelma Merritt. He was a 2006 graduate of Gentry High School.
De'Juan will be missed every day by his father, David Draine; mother, Evaline Sims Williams; brothers, Jason Draine, Rydell Shaffer and David Draine, Jr.; siter, Evangila Wilson; aunts, Bettye Sims Hawkins, Deborah Sims Howard, Dessie Draine Moore, Mary Palmer, Barbara howard Sims, Dr. Barbara Ricks Sims, Era Mack Sims, Sharron Sims and Willie B. Sims; uncles, Donald R. Sims, Clifton Sims, Jr., Eddie Sims, Robert L. Draine and Walter Draine; godmother, Gladys Thomas Williams; family pet, Sparkle; and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces; god-sisters, Frankita Wilson, Tianna Allen and Makya Allen; god-brothers, Patrick Wilson and Monteria Allen.
We know De'Juan is now with his grandparents, Clifton and Bessie Sims and Amos and Rosie Draine; great-grandparents, Simmie and Turlieu Singleton and Nancy Draine; brother, Earnest Be'Shovan Williams; uncles, Earnest "Bum Jelly" Sims, Henry Folious, Oscar, and Willie Draine.
We love and miss you so much and will dare to whisper; "You have not lived in vain."
