Willie B. Porter was the first child born to Mrs. Dorothy Jean Porter on August 11, 1953 in Merigold, Mississippi.  He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Levon Scott, grandson, Christian Durham, his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Porter, father, Mr. James Jackson, Sr., five sisters, Delores Evans, Nea Faye Porter, Alice Jackson, Terri Jackson, and Betty Campbell, and three brothers, Stanley Porter, James Porter, and James Jackson Jr.

He confessed his hope at a very early age.  He had a passion for life and always enjoyed helping those around him.  He believed in family and always tried to keep those around him encouraged to do what was right.  When he wasn't working, you could find him enjoying his favorite pastimes, fishing and hunting.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Jeannette Scott, three sons, Willie Scott (Larrika), Emmett Scott, and Travis Scott all of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, two daughters, LaMonica Scott of Jackson, Mississippi and Angela Scott of Houston, Texas, 11 grandchildren, seven sisters, Dianna Montgomery of Cleveland, Mississippi, Mattie Porter of Mound Bayou, Mississippi, Dortha Pearson and Nacquita Porter both of Martin, Tennessee, Dorothy Jackson of Racine, Wisconsin, Beatrice Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, Earnestine Jackson of Cleveland, Mississippi, devoted friend, Lavaro Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was a family man who fought a good fight and kept the faith.  He was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
