Willie Ed McGee Jr. , affectionately called Willie Jr., was born September 10, 1955 to the late Willie Ed and Molene McGee Sr. of Boyle, MS. Willie Jr. professed a hope of Christ at an early age at White Star M.B. Church in Cleveland, MS and graduated from East Side High School in the class of 1974.

Willie Jr. transitioned from this earthly place into his heavenly home on February 18, 2021 in Jackson, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Willie Jr, leaves behind one child Safari Williams Sr. (Kimbrala) of Memphis, TN;one grandchild Safari Williams, Jr. of Cleveland, MS; four grandchildren Kayden Williams, Giavanna Williams, Arya Williams, and Safari Williams III; five brothers, Chester McGee, Nathaniel McGee, Lamar McGee, Dexter McGee, and Keith McGee; five sisters, Diane McGee, Mary Ann McGee, Cermona McGee, Jennifer McGee, and Gloria McGee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends.
