A Time to be Born... Willie was born March 7, 1948 in Lula, Ms. He was the fourth born of six children to the late Willie Kemp, Sr. and Robert Ledbetter-Kemp. He attended Bolivar County Public Schools. A Time to Confess... Willie confessed his life to Christ at a young age at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Stiner, MS. He later in life joined Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Herron Wilson where he faithfully served until death. A Time to Love... On October 21, 2011, Willie joined in holy matrimony to Doreatha Raggs Kyle. They enjoyed traveling, relaxing, and spending time with family and friends. A Time to Work... For more than 40 years he traveled across the country as a professional truck driver. Willie also shared a love for riding horses. He retired in 2010 as his health started to decline and spent most of his days relaxing and playing with his grandchildren. A Time to Rest... Willie departed this life on Earth on Tuesday June 16, 2015 peacefully at his home in Greenville, Ms. A Time for Family... Willie was preceded in death by his father Willie Kemp, Sr., his mother Roberta Ledbetter-Kemp, three brothers Haywood Chaeffer, Charles Kemp, and Robert Kemp, and two sisters Dorothy Mae Campbell, Elizabeth Kemp-Woods and Delphine Kemp.
