Mr. Willie Curtis "Blow" Sawyer (Collins) was born October 16, 1962 to the late Willie "Buddy" Collins and Josie Bell Sawyer.  He was raised in the small community of Ruleville, MS.  He was baptized in Jesus Name at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A.C. Craft, Sr.

Curtisboy, as known by his family, received his primary education in the Sunflower County School District, in Ruleville, MS.  Although he did not complete high school at Ruleville Central High School, he later attended the Job Corps Center in Breckinridge, KY where he obtained his GED and certification as an auto mechanic.

Blow's greatest passions for things to do were training dogs, working on cars and of course karate.  He could train a dog like no one else.  Who ever heard of a dog being told to stop eating and lay all the way down?  The dog stopped eating and stretched out on his stomach with all four legs stretched out and wouldn't eat until he was told "eat your food".  His training attack command was "check that".  He was so swift and effective with martial arts that his hands and feet were registered in the State of Indiana as lethal weapons.

Curtis held many different jobs throughout his life in Ruleville, Jackson, and Indiana, but his greatest passion was fixing automobiles.

God saw Blow was weary and he whispered to him, Come unto me all that are heavy burdened and I will give you rest.  Although he knew many hearts would be broken, he stretched out his hands and slept away.  Curtis was preceded in death by both parents, Willie and Josie Collins, sister, Mary Ann Tripplett, and son, Paul Williams.

Remaining to cherish his life, love and legacy are:  his daughter, Renia Mariea Harris ( Alphonse Bourgeois, Jr.) of Memphis, TN, his son, Monchello Artavious Sawyer of Anderson, IN, five sisters and one brother:  Dianne Jones (William) and Ruth Helen Jones (W.C. (Pete) both of Chicago, IL, James Edward Williams (Julie) of Robbins, IL, Patricia Ann Greer (Woodrow) of Cleveland, MS, Ronder Faye Cole (Johnny) of Anderson, IN and Jacqueline Collins Ogburn (Marty) of Ruleville, MS, a very special niece who was brought up as a sister, Gwendolyn Williams Davis of Cleveland, MS, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  As well as four extra special friends, Carl Watson and Benard Martin both of Ruleville, MS, Dorothy Alexander Thomas of Jackson, MS and Markettie Hoskins of Dayton, OH.
