Willie James Holston was born March 4, 1960, to the late Idell Wheeler Walker in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was adopted by Johnny and Iretha Holston. He departed this Life on Thursday morning, April 9, 2026, with a touch of love from his heavenly father into eternal life.
Willie attended Ruleville public schools and later dropped out to pursue a career in construction. Wille stopped working as a carpenter in 2021. He spent his retirement in his hometown of Ruleville, Mississippi.
Willie was proceeded in death by his parents, Idell Walker, Iretha Holston, and Johnny Holston. Three sisters, Luretha Agee, Robert McClendon, and Ather Ellis. Two brothers, James Wheeler and John Walker.
Willie leaves to cherish his sweet, loving memories, three daughters: Renita (Almond Trail) McNair of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Marqita Taylor and Alexis Holston McCain both of Drew, Mississippi. A brother, Johnnie (Pamela) Holston of Memphis, TN., three sisters, Callie Parks and Retha Walker of Ruleville, MS and Johnnie Mae Jennings of New Llano, LA; he also leaves to cherish his grandchildren; Krystal Graves, Devontae McNair, Johntavious Taylor, Marquisha Jones, Martavious Turner, Derrick Wallace Jr., Logan McCain, Treyden Bracey, Jaxton Carr, and JonKevius Abrams Jr. Two special children: Eurareshia Shaw and Demian Shaw both of Jesup, GA., and his fiancé Virginia Moore who cared for him until the very end.
