Reverend W.E. Williams was born June 09, 1930 in Cordova, AL. He was the second child in the marriage of the late Levy Williams and Ruth Dunn Williams. At an early age, he accepted Christ. He developed a passion for singing and sung with the following Groups: Highway QC's, Chamber Specials, Young Gospel Travelers, and many various other groups. God called him into the ministry later, where he was licensed under the leadership of Pastor L.R. Perry at the Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, Shaw, MS on July 5, 1962. He was later given his ordination certification May 15, 1964. Pastor Williams pastored many churches in his early pastoral ministry. He had great love for the New Morning Star M.B. Church of Boyle, MS where he pastored until his death (50 years). Also he had a great love for the Green Grove Church where he pastored until his death (32 years). He is still a member of the Pleasant Grove Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles McDavis, of Cleveland, MS. Pastor Williams was a pillar in his community where he drove the school bus and kept peace in Law Enforcement on the Sheriff Department in Doddsville and Cleveland, MS for many years.
