Wallace Jones was a gift from the heart of God, born on November 22, 1920 to Annyce and Jim Jones in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was a member of White Zion Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Charles Huddleston, where he served as a deacon. He was diligent in his service and faithful until the Lord called him home on Monday morning, September 26, 2011. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Catherine Jones in 1940 and to this union eight children were born: Gloria, Curtis, Willie Mae, Wallace Jr., James, Katie, Phillip, and Wilbur. He later met Ester Franklin and children, Sandra and Patrick, and to that union one child was born, Chanda. Wallace Jones was a hard worker, working as a farmer and employed by the city of Mound Bayou for over 40 years.
