Victor Lamar Bowie, beloved father, brother and friend, was born September 13, 1974, in Shelby, Mississippi to Flossie Mae Silas-Bowie and Clinton Jackson.

Victor departed this life on October 9, 2022 in Aurora, Colorado. He attended school in Clarksdale, Mississippi before relocating to Tacoma, Washington where he finished his education at Lincoln High School. Victor then moved to Topeka, Kansas where he lived for many years.  It is here where his daughter Makaila Veronique Bowie was born to he and Tameka Terry.

Victor then moved to Colorado where he was united in marriage to Belinda Thomas.  Over the years Victor also lived in Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA.

Victor loved Music.  He was an aspiring rapper and enjoyed writing rhymes and putting music to them.  He has several original works posted to internet music sites.  He was also an entrepreneur and operated a construction cleanup business in Atlanta.  Victor also liked studying philosophy and law.  He worked for the Denver Voice newspaper for many years.  Victor volunteered much of his free time feeding and working with the homeless in Aurora, Colorado.

Victor was preceded in death by his mother Flossie Mae Silas-Bowie, his father, Clinton Jackson and a brother Delinore R. Bowie.

Victor leaves to cherish his memories:  his daughter, Makaila V. Bowie ( Montay Sr.)  Tulsa, OK; 2 grandchildren, Montay Jr. and KaMylah Morton of Tulsa, OK; his siblings, Dennis Silas (Brenda) Horn Lake, MS, Veronica Robinson (Jackie) Tacoma, WA,  Timothy Bowie (Terrie) Olive Branch, MS, James Bowie (Cynthia) Memphis, TN, Linda Vester (Velvet) Memphis, TN, Marvin Bowie (Amanda) Memphis, TN, Henry Jackson, Chicago, IL, Betty Jackson, Tunica, MS, Mary Jackson, Tunica, MS, Dorothy Jackson, Tunica, MS, Lillie Jackson/Smith, Beulah, MS; his ex-wife and friend Belinda Bowie of Aurora, CO and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
