Obituary

Vick made his transition Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 8:05 pm in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his sisters:  Ozie, Cynthia, one brother:  Timothy, brother-in-laws:  Dap and Harry, and cousin, Maryann Townsend.

Vick was diagnosed in late September 2022 with his illness.  He accepted Christ as his Savior while being hospitalized at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.  He prepared himself for his homegoing with the Lord.  Vick was ready.  He fought hard until the Lord called him home.  He finished his course and kept the faith.

He loved his family and friends dearly, cooking was his passion, visiting him was like eating at a restaurant, playing his music, enjoying his big speakers, watching his favorite TV shows, especially telling old stories back in the day to his nieces and nephews making them laugh.

Vick was born August 13, 1968 to Larry Gene Foster and the late Dorothy Jean Smith.  He were the third child of 6 siblings.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean Smith.

He attended Ruleville Central High in the Sunflower County School District.  He also worked as a floor manager for six years at South Bend Regional Airport in South Bend, Indiana before returning back to his roots in Mississippi.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Johanna Foster of South Bend, Indiana; two daughters, Cierra Brown of South Bend, Indiana and Zakyra Hollins of Ruleville, Mississippi; one grandson:  Izaiah Burton of South Bend, Indiana; his father:  Larry (Ella Mae) Foster; his siblings:  Kenny Ward, Ozie (Dap) Smith, Cynthia (Harry, Jr.) Rankin, Sharon Foster, Timothy Foster all of Ruleville, Mississippi;  Alice (Albert) Nickson of Clarksdale, Mississippi, and Nicole McKnight of Horn Lake, Mississippi; a very special sister-in-law:  Priscilla (Stanley) Orange of Oklahoma City; six nieces, nine nephews, seventeen great nieces and nephews, and one great niece that was dear to him, his "Tweety Bird", Harlyn Grace Rankin, three great nephews that he loved:  Albert, Ayden and TJ.
