Torris Jamal Kinney born April 13, 1993 in Cleveland, MS to Toney Kinney and Zina Starks.

At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at New St. Phillip Baptist Church in Cleveland, MS.

Very early on, he showed a keen interest in motorcycles and mechanics.  He was a 2012 graduate of East Side High School in Cleveland, MS.  He continued his education at Nashville Auto Diesel College, currently know as Lincoln Tech.  He continued to work as a mechanic and ride motorcycles until his passing.

Torris was a dedicated father, son and brother.

Torris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tommie and Eva Johnson, and paternal grandparents, Virgie and Ruthie Kinney .

He departed this earthly life Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

He leaves to celebrate and cherish his life, one son, Torris Kinney Jr. of Nashville, TN; one daughter, Hathor McCool of Cleveland, MS; his father, Toney Sinney, Sr. of Renova, MS; his mother, Zina (Ronald) Starks of Itta Bena, MS; one brother, Toney (Courtney) Kinney, Jr. of Renova, MS; two nieces, Jada Kinney and Kailyn MClemore of Renova, MS; a goddaughter, Mon'cya Matthews of Memphis, TN; and his very special aunt, Elvira Johnson of Cleveland, MS; he also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
