Tommie Lee Petty was born November 30, 1957 to the late Tommie Lee and Christine Ivy Petty, Sr. in Ruleville, MS.
Tommie Lee confessed his hope in Christ early in life and was baptized at Lily of the Valley COGIC in Doddsville, MS.
Tommie Lee spent most of his live working in the farming industry where he established himself as a hard worker who was dedicated to his jobs and touched the lives of nearly everyone he came in contact with. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and cooking delicious food for family and friends. He was a self-proclaimed chef as every dish that he cooked was his best one.
Tommie Lee was preceded in death by his mother and father, Tommie and Christine Petty, Sr.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory, three sons, Tommie Lee Carter, Jr., Tommie Lee Glenn, Marcus Luckett; two daughters, Thyieshia (William) Moore and Jalisha Petty; brothers, Jeffery Petty and Karl (Raven) Petty; five sisters, Ethel (Coleman) Washington, Gloria Wright, Bobbie (Velton) Townsend, Diane (Marvin) Miller and Brenda (Charles) Williams; eleven grandchildren; four closest friends throughout his life; Bob Lee, Jimmy Weatherspoon, Joe Brooks, Otis Rodgers and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends.
