Theresa was born on January 14, 1954 in Holly Ridge, Mississippi, to Sammie Pearson and Lizzie Mae Hunt.  In later years, her family relocated to Greenville, Mississippi.  She was a graduating scholar in the Class of 1974, of Greenville High School.  She was a twenty-nine year employee of Utility Products/Marconi Communications, where she made many life-long friendships before the company relocated.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, teacher and confidant.  She was a twenty-six year member of St. Luke M.B. Church where she served as a Deaconess and choir member, under the leadership of Pastor B.T. Benson, before his death, and under current Pastor Leo Jennings.  On Thursday, December 28, 2023, the Lord called her from labor to eternal rest.

"Tee", as she is known by many, loved to travel and she never met a stranger.  She loved to go shopping, eating out with her family and friends.  She loved to explore life and lived with an optimistic mindset and heart.  She was a two-time breast cancer survivor, and overcame many other health challenges.  She never allowed her aliments to interfere with her living life to the fullest.

She never forgot about her friends and family embers and served as caretaker for many of them.  She was the glue in the family.  She kept everyone connected near and far.  Her consistent care for others is what drew others to her.  She was always stylish, since a young, and gave her STYLE and GRACE with everyone she encountered.  She would spend hours scrolling social media for different fashion ideas.  At any given time, you could walk into her home to find the channel on the HGTV Network.  She often caught a glimpse of ideas, as she was in the process of renovating her home.

On July 14, 2000, Theresa became the wife of Joe Morris.

Tee is preceded in death by her parents:  Sammie Pearson and Lizzie Mae Hunt, brothers:  John Albert Jones, Donnie Hunt, Alfred Johnson and Jackie Lee Hunt; sister, Joyce Jones Knox.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 23 years: Minister Joe Morris of Greenville, MS; three children, Nikia Kendrell (Deshunda) Hunt, Tamra Markisha Turner and Antonio Rashad Williams all of Greenville, MS; three stepchildren:  Kendrick Morris, Kenyatta Morris and Ashley Bolden, all of Jackson, MS; siblings:  Adell (Betty) Hunt of Hebron, MD; Bobbie J. Onyugo of Minneapolis, MN; O. Maketter Williams of Rockford, IL; and Hannah Jean Hunt of Greenville, MS; honorary sisters:  patsy Actwood, Lois Owens, Ann Shannon, and Patricia Page all of Greenville, MS; grandchildren:  Khirya Page, Shacaria Johnson, and Kendrell Johnson all of Greenville, MS; great grandchildren:  Justin Austin, Payton Taylor and Layden Manning, all of Greenville, MS; along with a host of nieces, nephews, former co-workers and friends.
