Theodore Scurlark (Doe) was born August 23, 1927 to the late Marshall and Callie Scurlark in Sunflower County, Mississippi (Blue Lake). He was united in marriage to Ms. Sadie M. Glinsey in 1948. They were married for 43 years until her demise in February, 1991. They were the parents of 11 children. He joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Blue Lake, Mississippi at an early age. Upon moving to Cleveland, MS in 1969, he moved his membership to United Baptist where he was a member at the time of his death. Doe enjoyed family gatherings-cooking for his family and friends. He also enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing and working in his backyard repairing lawn tools and equipment for friends and neighbors. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 26, 201 at the North Sunflower Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
