Terry Banks, a devoted husband, father, friend and retired Marine, departed this life on February 9, 2011 at approximately 3:18 p.m. He was one of three children born to the late Ruben Chexsnider and the late Ruby Mae Banks in Chicago, IL on March 5, 1955. He grew up in Chicago, IL and moved to MS in 1992. Mr. Banks confessed a hope in Christ at a very early age. Terry joined the United States Marine Corps in 1972 where he served our country deligently until he was injured in an accident during service and received an honorable discharge in January 1975. After departing the military, he worked as an U.S. postal carrier and an electrician up until his service related disabilities became too unbearable in 1995 when he began receiving disability. He was a very loving husband, father and friend to many. If you needed anything and he had it...it was yours. That's just how kind hearted he was.
