Tammye Lorraine Neal, also known as "Poonie", to the late Johnny and Veronica Thomas on February 7, 1969 in Cleveland, MS, She was the first of two children born to this union. Tammye was later blessed with two loving daughters, Slexcia and Brittany Neal. The three was inseparable throughout Tammye's life.

Tammye graduated from Cleveland High School in 1987, but she also attended Eastside High School and the Trojan Pride lived within her. She earned an Associate Degree in Practical Nursing from Coahoma Community College in May 2000. She later began her career in the medical field with various jobs throughout bolivar and Coahoma Counties. Tammye's passion was for people and she enjoyed taking care of her patients. She later settled down and decided to help her daughter pursue her long life dream and became obsessively involved with SBK Financial Group; She was a dedicated Administrative Assistant and Partner for the company for 8 years.  Tammye was also a faithful and dedicated member of First Baptist M.B. Church in Merigold, led by Pastor Bobby Williams, where she also served in the kitchen.  Tammye was baptized at a young age at St Peters Missionary Baptist Church and re-dedicated her life to Christ under the leadership  at First Baptist in her later years.

Tammye was loved and well-known by everyone in her community.  She made her presence known in any room with her outgoing personality and free spirit.

Tammye leaves to cherish her memories, her loving daughters, Slexcia Neal of Collierville, TN and Brittany Neal of Merigold, MS.  Her faithful and dedicated brother, Orlando (Shetarus) Thomas of Olive Branch, MS.  Loving and missing you forever, grandma, Thomas, Andre, and Draya.  And a host of other family and friends that will forever love you!
