Sugar Ray
Robinson
Nov 16, 1965 — Dec 1, 2025
Cleveland
Sugar Ray Robinson was born November 6, 1965 in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Lue Rinner Robinson; seven brothers: Joe Griffin, Albert Lee Cole, James Robinson, Willie Lee Robinson, Ollie Robinson, Jr., Walter Robinson and Eddie Lee Robinson; four sisters, Annie Bell McKinnie, Sally Mae Robinson, Dolly Mae Robinson and Louise Juitt.
On December 1, 2025 the Lord sent his angels to escort Sugar Ray home.
Sugar Ray leaves to cherish his memory, one brother and one sister, Alexander Robinson and Corine Jones both of Cleveland, Mississippi along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Sugar Ray graduated from Cleveland Eastside High School in May 1984. During his high school years, he played football, a sport that became a lifelong passion. He was a faithful fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and loved discussing the game with family and friends.
Sugar Ray enjoyed being surrounded by his loved ones, especially during holidays and family gatherings. He carried a caring spirit, a humble heart and an uniquely subtle sense of humor- so gentle that if you didn't know him well, you might have missed it.
He was baptized in Jesus' Name under the leadership of Pastor Terry Jones.
