Sterlia "Duke" Robinson, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2025 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Mississippi. He was born on March 15, 1953, in Drew, MS to Hoses and Stacy (Scott) Robinson. Sterlia was educated in the Drew School System and worked until his health failed at the Ruleville Manufacturing Company. He was preceded in death by his parents Hosea Robinson and Stacy Scott Robinson, siblings, Olee Robinson, Hugh Ellis Robinson, Tommie Robinson, Willie D. Robinson, and Ida Bell Robinson.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Brenda Robinson of Gainesville, Florida: children, Trina Vernessa Hampton and Terence Takesha Hampton of Drew, Mississippi; Anthony Tywon Hampton and Jeanette Nash of Sikeston, Missouri; stepchildren, Lamarcus Groce and Thomas Knighten of Sikeston, Missouri, and Markeisha Groce of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Eunice Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Mary (Otis) McDowell and Patricia McFarland of Memphis, Tennessee; and Malinda (Ferrell) Patrice of Mobile, Alabama; brothers, James Robinson of Woodbridge, Virgina; Hosea Bobby (Mattie) Robinson of Clinton, Mississippi, and Bruce Robinson of Clinton, Mississippi; and Bruce Robinson of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and three longtime friends, Diane Hampton, Johnny Williams and Odis Burnett.
