Mr. Stanley Earl Pates, Sr. was born June 11, 1968 to the late Aaron and Mrs. Callie Pates in Shelby, MS.  He was the fifth of six children born to this union.

At an early age, Stanley accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of United Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sammie Rash.

Mr. Pates attended school in Cleveland, MS.  Stanley had many jobs, but his favorite job was at Cleveland PHC Residential living located in Cleveland, MS.

Stanley "Maine" enjoyed playing against his friends on the play station, walking, playing with the children and also whooping upon his sisters in cards.

Mr. Stanley Pates transitioned to his spiritual journey peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in the comfort of his home in Murfreesboro, TN.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving mother, Mrs. Callie Pates of Cleveland, MS; Samantha Truax of Lansing, MI; three daughters, Trainniesha Pates of Cleveland, MS, Nyesha Pates of Arlington, Texas, Marshan'e  Pates of Lansing, MI; sons, Stanley Pates III of Beeville, Texas, Stanley Pates, Jr. of Lansing, MI, Kenarius Pates of Shaw, MS, Keyon Pates of Spring Hill, TN, Gavin & Aaron Truax both of Lansing, MI; six siblings, Patricia Foster of Murfreesboro, TN, Thelma Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Gloria Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN, Herstine Pates of Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmie Johnson of Cleveland, MS and Michael Pates of Lansing, MI; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
