Silas was born on July 6, 1950 to the late Earline Williams and Silas Jackson, Sr. in Merigold, Mississippi. He was the seventh child of ten children.
Silas dedicated his life to Christ at an early age and continued to grow in faith. He grew up on the Scottland Plantation in Beulah, Mississippi.
