Shirley Ann
Lawrence-Jordan
Aug 1, 1966 — Jan 6, 2023
Benoit
Shirley Ann Lawrence was born August 1, 1966 in Mound Bayou, MS to Lane Walton Jr. and Dorothy Jean Walton. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Stringtown, MS. Shirley was a high school graduate of Nugent Center High School in 1984.
She was united in holy matrimony to Jerry Jordan on August 7, 1998. Shirley was a devoted wife, who loved her husband dearly. She was a caring mother who loved her children unconditionally. She was a big sister like no other. She was a fun aunt who loved and cared for her nieces and nephews deeply. She always said something "crazy" when one of us would call, but she always would end the call with "I Love You." She was a cousin and friend to many. When she showed up, everyone knew they were going to have a good laugh.
Shirley's memories will be cherished by; her husband, Jerry Jordan of Benoit, MS; one (1) son, Lesharki (Almetra) Lawrence of Petersburg, VA; one (1) daughter Shunell (Nathaniel) Stanford of Greenville, MS; mother, Dorothy Walton of Metcalfe, MS; father, Lane Walton, Jr. of Benoit, MS; five (5) sisters, Darlene Lawrence of Metcalfe, MS; Linda (Darryl) Thomas of Augusta, GA; Genna (Shannon) Brown of Indianola, MS; Felicia (Dequintal) Carter of Houston, TX; Shawanda Mack of Jackson, MS; Eleven (11) grandchildren, Sharkerrian Lawrence, Adrienne Jordan, Cerenidy Baker, Natalyn Stanford, Nalani Stanford, Courtnee Bradford, Jordan Lawrence, Jacouree Lawrence, Jerry Lawrence, Londyn Lawrence, Kamiyah Lawrence; one (1) great-grandchild, Peyton Lawrence; three (3) nieces, Contessa Thomas, Perrionna Shuntese Gibson, Kyra Brown; five (5) nephews, Darryl Thomas, Jr., Brandon Brown, Perry Gibson, Jr., Dorian Carter, Brycen Brown; a special cousin, Almire Lawrence of Bolivar, MS; a special family friend, Shalana Morgan of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
