Sammie (Skip) Blair was born on January 31, 1949 in Ruleville, MS to the late Jessie Lee Blair and Sam Blair.

He was a very hard working and caring person.  He worked as a farmer for many years.  Throughout his life he was a man of many talents from being a mechanic to being a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his sister Queen Ester Glover, his mother Jessie L. Blair, and his father Sam Blair.

Sammie is survived by his wife: Maxine Blair of Drew, MS; four children Valerie Jenkins of Gallatin, TN; Terrence Wilson & James Wilson of St. Claire Shores, MI; Chartrice Wilson of Ruleville, MS; Eleven grandchildren; Eight sisters; Five brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
