Ruby Morgan Morris was born in Edwards, Mississippi, on January 20, 1914. She was the eldest of five children born to Taylor and Edna Draper Morgan. Ruby attended school in Edwards, MS. She was known for her loving and kind heart. She loved music and dancing. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age in Edwards, where she lived for many years. Ruby and her family moved to Cleveland, MS where she joined New St. Phillip M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. J.D. Story. Later she united with Old St. Phillip under the leadership of Rev. Benjamin Curry. She was employed as a manager for Cleveland Cleaners until her health failed. Ruby departed this life on Friday, March 16, 2012.
