Ross Lamacus "Kool Laid" Dye was born February 16, 1988, to the late Ross J. Dye and Kim R. Howze.  Ross attended school in the Cleveland School District before moving to Springfield, IL.  He returned to the Cleveland area in 2015 where he made his home until his departure.

Ross was a loving brother, father and friend to those who knew him.  He had a love for sports of all kind, especially baseball and spent many summers playing for the Park Commission.  While living in Springfield, Ross worked as a welder until his return to Mississippi.  Known and loved by many throughout Bolivar County, he will truly be missed.

He departed this earth on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at his home.  Ross was preceded in death by his loving father, Ross Dye, paternal grandparents, Jack and Eunice Dye of Talledega, AL and maternal grandmother Alma Loller of Houston, TX.

Ross leaves many loved ones that will love and cherish his special memories:  two (2) daughters, Miah Stemmons of Springfield, IL and Ta'Keia Tamiay Thomas of Dallas, TX; his mother, Kim Howze of Cleveland, MS; his sisters Rashida Dye of Springfield, IL and Angela Garrett of Talledega, AL; brothers, Rodrickus Jackson and Jarvis Jackson of Talledega, AL; aunts, Jean West and Eliza West of Cleveland, MS, Addie Allen of Milwaukee, WI, Tara and Tyrous Loller of Houston, TX, Stacey Dismuke of Hattiesburg, MS and Neah Dismuke of Norfolk, VA; uncles, Karry Hilley of Southaven, MS and Tyrone (Stephanie) Dye of Hattiesburg, MS; a special nephew whom he helped rear, Demontavious Dye of Springfield, IL; his best friend/brother Xavier Jones of Cleveland, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
