Roger Lee Johnson was born on August 21, 1959 in Hollandale, Mississippi to Ms. Florine Johnson and Mark Amos. Affectionately called "Bone", he was the oldest of six brothers and one sister. He confessed his life as a Christian at an early age.

Roger received his education at Hollandale Public School System in Hollandale, Mississippi. He departed his life here on earth on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
