Redia V.
Taylor
Sep 20, 1964 — Dec 8, 2024
Ruleville
Redia Vonsha Taylor, a beloved mother and cherished family member, was the fourth of ten children born to the late Ruby Lee Taylor and Sylvester Gray on September 20, 1964 in Ruleville, MS. She graduated from Ruleville Central High School where she played a huge role in helping students complete their correspondence for graduation.
Redia was a kind and prayerful woman with a heart of gold.
Known for her gentle spirit and soft-spoken nature, she enjoyed solving word puzzles daily, even up until her passing. She loved cooking with her youngest daughter, listening to a variety of music, and spending time with family and friends. She walked by faith and knew and loved Jesus Christ as her Father, Savior and King. She cherished attending church whenever possible, looking forward to fellowship and outings with church members. Redia had a deep love for God, her family, and a genuine affection for everyone she met.
Redia fought a good fight until God called her home to glory on Sunday morning, December 8, 2024 at Delta Health and Rehabilitation in Cleveland, MS. She is survived by her two daughters, Marquita Taylor and Alexandria Taylor; five grandchildren, Marquisha, Olivia, Sophia, Johntavious and Martavous; sisters, Melanie Buckner and Dr. Elizabeth Buckner; brothers, Johnnie Taylor and Donald Harvey; a special and devoted niece, Latanya Calhoun; close friend, Gloria "Betty Boo" White and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
