Patricia Ann Howard was born in Scott, Mississippi on March 6, 1959, to Mr. Burlee Brown Sr. and Mrs. Rosie Mary Brown. Ann was the oldest of twelve children. Ann and her siblings grew up surrounded by faith and rooted in the church. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Fitler, Mississippi until her family relocated.

At a young age, she developed an eye for fashion and beauty. Growing up in the Mississippi Delta, Ann was ahead of her time and would often design and hand-make her own clothes. She attended Henry Weathers High School, and she worked as an expert seamstress at Fine Vines for over 25 years until they closed.

Ann was known for her creative mind, outgoing personality, humble spirit, and kind soul. She found joy in being a devoted mother to her children, supporting her family, and selflessly giving to others. Her children were her pride and joy, and she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is lovingly admired and appreciated by her entire family for setting aside her own plans, many years ago, to care for her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Young, in the final years of her life, a sacrifice that reflected her deep faith and servant's heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Howard: her daughter, Erica Young; her father, Burlee Brown, Sr.; two brothers, Burlee Brown, Jr. and Patrick Brown, Sr.; three sisters, Sallie Lewis Shelby Brown, and Tasha Brown; and a very special friend, Mr. Lee Shelley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Rosie Mary Brown; her daughter, Sonya (Elizah) Mitchell; her son, Byron (Jennifer)Young; her godson, Albert (Michele) Jackson; six grandchildren, Portiala (Nathaniel) Lundy, Deparrion (Ashlin) Mitchell, Jebari Mitchell, Jayden Timpson, Skylar Lewis and Brooklyn Young; four great grandchildren, Arybella, Karter, Zariah, and Treyson; four sisters, Kate Brown, Demetric (Daryl) Barber, Veronica (Geblonski) Ford, and Lakesha (Westley) Jernigan; two brothers, Daniel (Teretha) Brown and Dexter Brown; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
