Olevie Francesca McSwine was born on September 8, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois. She attended school at the Chicago City Schools. Olevie was very studious in the Word of God. She loved children and desired to see them grow both educationally and spiritually. Olevie answered the called of God and met Elder Teddell Simpson and moved to Cleveland, Mississippi where they united in Holy Matrimony on August 16, 2007. Together, Elder Teddell Simpson and Evangelist Olevie worked in the Viola Memorial Outreach Ministry (VMOM), where they tutored children after school and taught them in the way of the Lord. Evangelist Olevie was very active in the Outreach Ministry, along with her husband, Elder Teddell Simpson. Olevie served on the Bolivar County Board of Chaplain at the Bolivar Medical Center. She was a member of the Bolivar County Ministerial Association. Evangelist Olevie also ministered at the various nursing homes on Saturdays throughout Bolivar County. Evangelist Olevie was also a member of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of Mississippi. Evangelist Olevie departed this life at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and entered into the "Joy of the Lord" on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Evangelist Olevie will be missed by many.
