Obituary

Nathaniel Cullen Clerk, known by all as "Jim", was born February 13, 1957 to the late L.T. and Willie Mae Clerk of Boyle, MS.  Nathaniel was the 13 child of 17 children.

Nathaniel confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Fedderson at Macedonia Baptist Church.  It would be some years later when he would hear the call to relocate to Texas, where he would join Victory Gospel Chapel under the leadership of Rev. Donnie Banks, when he would be called to serve as a Deacon for 10 years before relocating back to MS.

Nathaniel received his education at East Side High School in the Bolivar County School District of Cleveland of Cleveland, MS.  After graduating, Nathaniel entered into the National Guard of Missouri.  Nathaniel received an Honorable Discharge from the Armed Force of the United State of America.

Nathaniel was honorable discharged from the Army National Guard of Missouri and the Reserve of the United States Army, on the 5th day of September 1997.  A Certificate was awarded as a testimonial of honest and Faithful Service.

Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memories: 8 sisters, Louise(Billie) Turner Clerk Lewis of Memphis, TN, Carrie Mae Pearson of Boyle, MS, Earcil McClemore of Chicago, IL, Gloria Ford of New Jersey City, NJ & Barbara Wilder of Memphis, TN; 4 brothers, Elijah Clerk, Robert Thomas Clerk, Sylvester Clerk & James Edward Clerk all of Boyle, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
