Our beloved Moses Williams was born on October 10, 1931, in Sidon, MS to the union of the late Fate Williams and Octavia Harrell.

He was educated in the Morgan City Public School system, in Morgan City, MS.  Afterwards, he committed himself to two years of service in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean War.  After receiving his GED he completed coursework at Valley State University, and extensive studies for vocational certification at Mississippi State University and Delta State University.

Employment history includes journeyman and foreman positions at Nicholson Files, Theurer, Inc., Caldwell Culvert Company, and Johnson and Drivers in the Greenville area.  Additionally, he was employed for approximately ten years as a welding instructor at Mississippi Delta Junior College.  After receiving additional training in monument works, he transitioned to Harkins Monuments and shortly after started a joint venture, R & W Monuments until he eventually went into business for himself at Williams Monument Works.  He successfully operated this company until his retirement in 2015.

Moses rededicated his life to Christ under the leadership of Rev. J. L. Payne at Miracle Temple Revival Center in Greenville, MS.  There, he served in many areas as Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Armor Bearer, Custodian and Property Manager.  He was indeed a true servant willing to be a blessing to the people of God in any way possible.  In 1974, he accepted the call to ministry.  In 175 with support of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship organization he founded and organized the nondenominational, Full Gospel Temple Church.  From this ministry two churches were born, Good Shepherd Church in Branch, LA and the Agape Pentecostal Church in Crowley, LA.  He pastored Full Gospel Temple alongside his wife for approximately forty years.  Obeying a word from God, he merged his congregation with Pastor Jackie Davis, of Unity Faith M.B. Church.  There, he served in various leadership roles and as an Elder.  In June 2016, The Elder Moses and Evangelist Catherine Williams Fellowship Hall was named and dedicated in his honor along with his spouse.

Mose, as he was affectionately called, was full of wisdom and wise counsel.  He didn't have the type of knowledge you get from YouTube clips or listening to podcasts.  He had the knowledge you acquire from living life, putting in the work, learning from mistakes, getting his hands dirty, running a business, the sacrifice of blood, sweat, and tears; all of which culminated into a man who could greet you with the strongest handshakes or the gentlest hugs!

He is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Catherine Williams.  He leaves to cherish his memory four sons: Ronny(Karen Lopez) Williams of Grant Valkaria, FL, Albert J. Bailey, III., Timothy (Jennifer) Williams, both of Greenville, MS; Corddarrell Williams of Omaha, NE; six daughters, Debra (Cottrell) Baily Wynne of Dallas, TX, Katy Williams of Tupelo, MS, Anita ( Albert) Levy of Jackson, MS, Mona (Ricky) Tucker, Pamela Billups, Mosetta Williams, and Rosie Williams all of Tulsa, OK; one daughter-in-law, Dyane Bailey of Tulsa, OK; over forty grandchildren, and sixty great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and others who truly loved him. Four children preceded him in death and were there to greet him in glory:  Robert Williams, Bobbie Ann Williams, Cathy Jo Bailey and Ronald Bailey.

Although Moses' awards and accomplishments were many, he loved and cherished the time spent with God and family.  His purpose was evident even at the very end of his life; as he witnessed to, prayed for, and counseled those around him.  God has now called his faithful servant home to his side.
