Mose Casey Jr. was known as "Pretty", "Papa", "Ricky" was born on October 1, 1973, in Drew, MS, to the late Mose and Annie Townsend-Casey. He departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2024, at his home, peacefully in his sleep.

Mose was a man that never met a stranger, caring, gentle giant and kindhearted. He loved all his family and friends, but the grandchildren stole his heart. He loved to travel, go out to eat and spend quality time joking with his family and friends. His favorite quote of all time "Corn flakes and Milk Baby."

Mose was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Annie Casey, siblings Catherine Townsend-Spells, John Townsend, Kidd Role and Gregory Townsend.

He leaves to cherish his life partner, Shakonda Harris of Drew, MS; three daughters, Kadesia Harris, Kandeidra Harris and Kaneesha Gooden all of Drew, MS; six grandchildren, Jamya, Kelsey, Jayle, Dakota, Samajay, Siah; two sisters, Marcella Flowers of Ruleville, MS, Nina McCarty of Drew, MS; brother-in-Law, Melvin Spells of Darlove, MS; special nieces that were raised with him in the same household are Melanie, Katrina, Tia, and Sarita; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
