Mound Bayou
Morris Edmond was born on March 10, 1945 to the late Dwight Edmond and Eula Jefferson in Sturgis, Mississippi and later raised in Tupelo, MS.
Morris was proceeded in death by his parents, Dwight Edmond and Eula Jefferson; his sister, Mattie Edmond, Flora Montgomery; his brother, Robert Edmond; his daughter, Mary Denise Hickman and two great grandsons, Xion Clifton and Clarence Hickman, Jr.
Morris accepted Christ at an early age. As life continues, up until his departure, he was a member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Evans until his health declined. He received his education from Mound Bayou Public School in Mound Bayou, Mississippi and was also a player of the football team.
In Morris spare time, he was "The Man" on any card table. The king of tunk and spades.
He leaves to cherish his love and memories to his loving wife of 50 years; Troy Lou "Monkey" Edmond; his son, Reggie(Cazenia) Edmond of Montgomery, Alabama; his six daughters, Brenda Edmond, Patricia Edmond, Kristy Edmond all of Memphis, Tennessee, Donna (Steven) Jones of Cleveland, Mississippi, Nancy Warren of Rosedale, Mississippi, Arnetha Davis of Horn Lake, Mississippi and Blondia Bridges of Newnan, Georgia; (1) sister, Eula Thomas of Winstonville, Mississippi; (1) brother, William (Nellie Faye) Edmond of Mound Bayou, Mississippi; (2) Brother-In-Laws; Green (Marie) Mays of Shelby, Mississippi and Ernest Mays of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; (5) Sister-In-Laws, Nellie Faye Edmond, Betty Menifield and Willie Mays all of Mound Bayou, MS, Lula Williams of Cleveland, MS and Dorothy Malay of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Thirty (30) grands, twenty four (24) great grands, thirteen (13) great great grands and a host of nieces and nephews.
