The hour glass with its sands of time has slowly but surely spilled its contents and with the passing of the last sand went the life of Mrs. Mildred Ann "Dimples" Pilate Henderson. Dimples was born on December 20, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia (Navy Base). She was the first child born to the late Mrs. Juanita Harvey and Marcell Pilate. She was raised by her late grandmother Sis Cora Ann Jane Lee "Doll" Harvey. DImples confessed her life to Christ at an early age and grew up in the Church of Christ Holiness. Dimples met the love of her life and was united in holy matrimony to Charles Henderson, Sr. in March 1980. This love affair lasted for 34 years. This union was blessed with eight children and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dimples attended Ruleville Central High School and Coahoma Community COllege. She was a substitute teacher for Ruleville Central High School. Dimples made her peaceful transition on Wednesday at Baptist-East Hospital Critical Intensive Care Unit in Memphis, TN at 3:15 p.m. with her children holding her hands as she walked through the gates of heaven. Her hobbies was writing, cooking and spending time with her husband Charles and children.
