Obituary

Mildred Price Canada Collins was born on September 6, 1940 to the late Wilbert and Martha Banks Price in Holly Bluff, Mississippi.

Mildred confessed Christ at an early age as her personal savior at Beautiful Star M. B. Church in Mound Bayou, MS. In 1958, she moved to Greenville, MS and joined Friendship M. B. Church at the age of 21 under the leadership of Pastor D. R. Royal where she remained an active and devoted member until 2017. After moved to Memphis, TN with her daughter in 2017, she moved her membership to St. Luke M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor B. B. Benson, Sr. where she remain until her death.

Mildred attended Greenville Public School and graduated from Coleman High School in 1960. She continued her education at Phillip Community College and MS Valley State University where she received her degree in nursing. She was gainfully employed with Delta Medical Center for 34 years and she was proud to share how much she loved taking care of patients.MILDRED was united in holy matrimony to Richard Kennedy Canada in 1961 and they give birth to five children. She later was remarried James Collins.

Mildred was preceded in death by of her parents, two children Brenda and Rod Canada, her spouses, and five siblings.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters Sherbert Veneal Mosby (John) of Memphis and Patricia Canada of Greenville and one son Ronny Canada of Greenville; two sisters Annie Mae Rollins of Greenville and Bobbie Jean Price of Chicago, three sister-in-laws Alice Kennedy, Maggie Baldridge, and Betty Price. She also leave to cherish 21 grandchildren: Kenyatta, Laquanna (Troy), LaRena, Kenneth, Ashley M. (Earl), Stephan, Stephanie (Brandon), Randy, Keturah, LeDelvin, Kendrell, Sybil, Ashley C., Ryia, RonKenzie, Rondricka, Shuntria, Darrion, Diquan, Ronnie, and Kiara; and 21 grandchildren, 2 godsons; Willie Moore and Quintarus Carter and 2 life long friends Gloria Campbell and Bessie Gamble; a host of bonus children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
