Michael Curtis Sr., age 68, passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 22, 2024. Michael was born in Greenville, MS on May 20,1955 to the late A.C. Curtis & Mary Ann Curtis. He attended Weddington Elementary School, Coleman Jr. High School, E.E. Bass, TL Weston High School and graduating from Greenville High School in 1975. During his years in school, he was an outstanding athlete excelling in basketball, baseball and track. He was a proud member of the Class of 1975. After high school, he started his journey on working in the workforce. He worked at various manufacturing companies and commercial retail stores. He also worked with his father cutting grass for residents and local companies. His path led him to Peoria, Illinois then back to Greenville, MS. He later moved to Lake Village, Arkansas and finally settled in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a member of Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was a giving and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather where he cherished family. He had a passion for working on cars in his spare time and spending time with loved ones reminiscing about old times. You could often find him with a cup of coffee joking with close family members.
Michael was preceded in death by his son, Michael Curtis, Jr., his parents, A.C. Curtis & Mary Ann Curtis, two brothers-Dennis Curtis & A.C. Curtis, Jr., one sister - Bessie Jackson, two stepsons- Turry Ferguson & David Royal III, and one stepdaughter-Avreyon Carter. He is survived by five children, Monica Rome, Kawandta Rome, Naquesha Rome, Takavius Curtis & Kentevius Curtis (Brenda Rome), one stepdaughter, Tammy Plummer (Valerie Delores Royal Curtis), three brothers, George Curtis, Douglas Curtis & Darnell Curtis and three sisters, Barbara Williams, Beverly Brown & Betty Harris, 10 grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
