Melvin attended Shaw District public schools. Where he graduated with the class of 1978. After his graduation he was employed with Shaw School District. Melvin had an illustrious career with Shaw School District that spanned over thirty six years. He took great pride in his responsibilities at McEvans School and Shaw High School, ensuring and providing a conductive learning environment for hundreds of students over the years. Melvin worked over and beyond his assigned duties, assisting the administrators, faculty, staff, and student body when and where needed. His devotion and love for Shaw School District will be remembered.
