Melvin "Etto" Latham-Davis was born on December 17, 1962 to Verlie Moore and the late William Singleton. He confessed his belief in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem No. 1 in Shaw, MS. He received his early education in the Shaw Public School system and later became employed at Martin Grain Tire Service. To his family and friends he was one of the best handymen in Shaw. Melvin made a deposit into his lives of everyone he encountered. On October 7, 2013, Melvin Davis-Latham returned to the loving arms of God. The jokes he made on his family and friends will never be forgotten. His compassion for his mother, sisters, and brothers had no end.
