Mattie McMullen was born on November 19, 1927, to the late Willie and Mattie Broom Whitehead of Coahoma County, Mississippi. She was a member of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, Tunica, Mississippi. Mattie went home to be with her heavenly father on September 13, 2011 at Memorial Hospice Nursing Home. Mattie was united in holy matrimony to Eddie McMullen, Sr. in 1945. When we think of all the love you gave We know no one could take your place. The memories of the times we've shared cannot be erased. And even though you're not here You are a part of us spiritually, And you will always be near. This isn't good-bye because in a while We plan to see you again.
