Mr. Marvin Holmes entered this world on October 28, 1959, as the son of the late Mane Lewis and Tilda Neal. Marvin confessed his life to Christ at an early age. Marvin rededicated his life to Christ when he joined Jerusalem Temple Church of God in Christ in Leland, MS, under the leadership of Pastor Richard L. Dixon.

Marvin worked faithfully for Taylor Air Conditioning & Heating in Boyle, MS, until his departure from this life. Marvin transitioned to eternal life on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Later in life, Marvin met Patricia Jenkins-Holmes, and they were united for over 30 years. Marvin and Patricia had four sons: Marvin "Lil Marvin" Jenkins of Ruleville, MS; Henry Jenkins of Ruleville; Jermaine Jenkins of Alabama, Cedric Coleman of Ruleville, MS; and two daughters, Tieqwer Jenkins of Houston, TX; and Kaniya Jenkins of Ruleville, MS. Marvin has two sisters, Lavonne Holmes of Los Angeles, CA; Sherry Holmes of Phoenix, AZ; Charles (Karen) Holmes, Los Angeles, CA; Alfred Earl (Barbara) Holmes of Cleveland, MS; Trenish (Patricia) Holmes of Memphis, TN; two brothers and three aunts who preceded him in death, Bennie Holmes and Marcel Holmes; ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
