Marolyn was born June 26, 1965 to Roosevelt Hunter, Sr. and Charlie Mae Pates Hunter in Merigold, Mississippi.  She departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, March 19, 2019; and was preceded in death by her dad, sister (Hester Hunter), brothers (Sylvester Hunter and Roosevelt Hunter, Jr.) Marolyn accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and later joined the Azion Missionary Baptist Church family of Mound Bayou, Mississippi; where she faithfully served in several capacities, including the past twenty-three years (23) as corresponding secretary.

Marolyn graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in 1983, and attended Alcorn State University and Delta State University.  Her initial employment within the Mound Bayou Public Schools was at the District's Parent Center; two years ago, she was blessed to retire from North Bolivar Consolidated School District as the Accounts Payable Manager.  Marolyn was the organizer of her family's event, loved working with children on school projects, playing PacMan, watching comedy shows, making others laugh and spending time with her family and friends.

Marolyn leaves precious memories to be cherished by a loving mother, Charlie Mae Hunter of Mound Bayou, MS; one god-daughter, Amber Jones of Shelby, MS; five sisters, Debra Ann Hunter White, Sandra Hunter Peggy, Deloris Hunter, and Doristine Hunter all of Mound Bayou, MS; and Naquita Porter of Merigold, MS; three brothers, Deniis Hunter of Kansas City, KS, Frankie Hunter of Mound Bayou, MS and Michael Jackson and his wife Stephanie of Florence, AL.
