Manuel Smith entered into eternal rest June 3, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born February 28, 1928 in Bolton, MS to Riley Smith and Rosie Cox.  He was raised by his grandparents, Riley and Ella Smith.  He attended school in Greenville, MS and later met and married the love of his life, Melvina Simpson, on June 22, 1947.  Manuel accepted Christ into his life at the age of 15 in 1943 at Pilgrim Home Church under the leadership of Rev. W.M. Walton.  He served as a faithful usher and truly loved his church, where he was a member for over 75 years.

Mr. Smith worked over 30 years at Southern Cotton and Oil Mill, where he retired in 1993.

Preceding him in death were his parents, grand-parents, four brothers and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of almost 72 years, Mrs. Melvina Smith; his children, grandchildren, great-grands and great-great grands.  He also one brother, T.J., nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and his church family.
