Manuel Jefferson was born on February 19, 1968, to the late Jodie and Ceola Jefferson. He departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2020.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jimmy Dean.
Manuel graduated from Drew High School in 1986 and immediately enlisted in the United States Army, where he served over ten years. After exiting the military, he moved to Atlanta, GA. He also worked as a calibration specialist for NASA over ten years.
Manuel loved sports, traveling, and enjoying life. His reading, venturing to different places around the world and sharing his knowledge with others brought him great joy. His loving and caring heart inspired him to help others in any capacity necessary whether it was listening or lecturing, as well as lending a helping hand even before asked. He rarely missed any family affairs or events.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father, Jodie Jefferson; his brothers, Richard Larry Williamson, Andrew Willis, and Raymond Williamson.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Ceola "Tina" Jefferson of Drew, MS; two sisters, Margaret(Terry) Hudson of Ruleville, MS; Gloria J. Moore of Drew, MS; three brothers, Jodie Jefferson, Jr., Dennis Jefferson and Samuel Jefferson of Drew, MS; a special nephew, Marcus Willis (Amber) of Douglasville, GA, two God sons, David Kelley of Clinton, MS; Chase Washington of Chesapeake Bay, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
