Manchie Hooper was born on February 24, 1963 in Mound Bayou to the late Martha Jean and Manchie Harris.

Manchie confessed to Christ at a young age at New Morning Star MB Church in Boyle, MS.  He attended and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1982.  He joined the Army in 1983.

Manchie returne home and became a mechanic, spending time with his family and friends and loved to do yard work.  In 1996 he met Vickie Wells, who was his companion.

Manchie departed this life on February 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN.
