A Time to Be Born Mahalia(Meme) Jordan was born November 18, 1967 in Hollandale, MS to David and Dorothy J. Jordan. A Time to Love At an early age, Mahalia accepted Christ as her personal Savior at First Baptist Church in Hollandale under the leadership of the late Reverend T.R. Clay. Music was close to her heart. She shared her melodious voice singing in the youth choir at First Baptist Church. She was a member of Simmons High School's Class of 1986 where she was a member of the band. In pursuit of a better life, Mahalia and her children relocated to St. Paul, MN. In St. Paul, she began her career as a Medical Assistant. A Time to Depart On Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:36 a.m., our Lord and Saviour quietly ushered her into His presence for Eternal Rest.
