Luther was born October 17,1944 to the late Willie C. and Norwedia Watson in Collinsville, MS.

He accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Damascus MB Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Fox. Luther was educated in Shaw School District.

Luther answered God's call to home on September 3,2020 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital of Greenville

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie C. and Norwedia Watson, two brothers: Roger and Marshell Watson, a sister Shirley Sims and a daughter Gail Thompson.

Luther leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters: Cassandra (George) Flakes of Cleveland, MS and Katie (Jerome) Banks of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Sarah (Elgen) Shelton of Chicago, IL and Sarah Holloway of Cleveland,MS; three grandchildren: Latoya Thompson, Milton Thompsson and LaDranda Flakes of Cleveland,MS; five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special friends: Jimmy Harris and James Crum of Gary, IN.
