The Legacy of Louis Young

"O taste and see that the Lord is good:  blessed is the man that trusteth in Him."

Louis was born to Loutisha Strong and Clarence Young on June 25, 1939 in Rosedale, MS.  He departed this life on August 04, 2023 at his home in Mound Bayou, MS.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Loutisha Strong and Clarence Young.

Louis found Christ at an early age at Mt. Hebron Church of Rosedale, MS.  He later joined Pilgrim Chapel in Winstonville, MS.  Before departing this world he later joined Mt. Olive Church in Mound Bayou, MS under the leadership of Pastor Willie Jackson.

Louis worked as a truck driver transporting gas with Demco in Shelby, MS and CP House in Cleveland, MS.  He was also a truck driver for the Bolivar County Road Department where he retired at the age of 62.

Louis leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Joyce Young of Mound Bayou, MS, (1) daughter, Carolyn Young of Memphis, TN, a host of bonus daughters and sons, (1) brother, Glen (Shirley) Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA, a host of grands, great-grands, in-laws, cousins and friends.
