Liza M. Walters was born in Meridian, MS on April 17, 1922 to the late Ephrem and Lucinda Walker.  She was the only child born to this union.

She attended Bethlehem #2 M.B. Church, where she became a member in 1986 under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Hunt, until God called her home.

She was united in holy matrimony on January 18, 1962 to the late Ralph Walters, Sr. and they raised seven beautiful children.
