Linnie Ann Rose was born November 19, 1951 to the late Richard and Geneva Lee Rose in Drew, MS. She was the fourth of five children; Roberta Scarbrougha, Willie Robinson, Maggie Foster, Calvin Russell, all proceeded her in death.
She confessed Christ in her life at a very young age and was a member of New Beginnings, M.B. Church in Shaw, MS under the leadership of Reverend Tinson.
Throughout her life, she held many different occupations. She worked at Union Theater (Grenada), Walthall Theater (Greenwood), and the Lincoln Theater (Greenville). She also worked at Fine Vines (Greenville) for 25 years and Delta Pride (Indianola) and Conagra (Isola) for 13 years combined.
Linnie was the loving mother to four children: Dorothy Rose (Shaw, MS), Joseph Guilty (Memphis, TN), Jacqueline Hinton Saffold (preceded in Death), and Paul Guilty (preceded in death). She was the grandmother of Richard Rose-Brittany (Orlando, FL), Arelius Rose (Shaw, MS), Kenyatta Rose-Decorius (Shaw, MS), Iris Saffold (Greenwood, MS), Quint Gardner (Denton, TX), Kimberly Rose (preceded in death) and David Hinton (preceded in death). She ws also the great-grand mother of fifteen great grandchildren.
Linnie was survived by her paternal brother, Lester Walker (Leland, MS), her paternal sister, Lucette Townsend (Ruleville, MS), a host of nieces, nephews, special friends Ella Shipp, Sadie Mae Dorsey, Linda Whitley, Debra Highball, Essie Davis, Geneva Love, and Leola Scott. She also leaves to cherish her memories her nurse, Latoya Parker, "The Crew", as she affectionately called them: Decerius Clark, Takeo Clark, Kurston Montgomery, Eddie Stimage, and Trevarius Williams, friends, previous coworkers, and acquaintances.
